Thank you for purchasing a Gravel Guard DIY Pre-Cut Paint Protection Kit. Because our kits are precision-engineered and custom-cut to your motorcycle’s exact year, make, and model using specialized digital template software, our return and refund policy is structured around custom manufactured goods under South African consumer laws.

1. Custom-Cut Goods Allocation

Every Gravel Guard kit is freshly plotted and cut only after an order is placed and confirmed.

• No Returns for Change of Mind: In accordance with Section 20 of the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the right to return goods does not apply to items that are personalised or custom-made to specific order requirements.
• We cannot accept returns, cancellations, or exchanges if you order a kit for the wrong bike model, change your mind after the film is cut, or decide you no longer want to perform a DIY installation. Please double-check your bike’s exact year and variant model specifications before checkout.

2. Defective Products & Transit Damage

We take absolute pride in our quality control, tracking every roll of film through our cutting station.

• Inspection Window: You must inspect your pre-cut kit immediately upon delivery before peeling any film panels away from their protective backing paper.
• Reporting Damage: If your shipping tube arrives crushed or you believe there is a manufacturing defect in the cut lines, you must email photo or video evidence to [email protected] or contact us via WhatsApp within 48 hours of delivery.
• The Resolution: If an authentic manufacturing defect or transit damage is verified, we will re-plot and courier a replacement kit or panel to you free of charge.

3. Explicit Exclusion of Installation Errors

Gravel Guard provides a premium material, but a flawless finish relies entirely on your preparation and application environment.

• We Are Not Liable For: Air bubbles, trapped dust/lint, silvering stretch marks, misaligned panels, edge-lifting due to incomplete cleaning, or film torn by aggressive stretching. These are strictly categorized as installation errors.
• Backed Film Rule: Once any individual panel is peeled off its backing sheet or comes into contact with your slip solution, it is considered used and is 100% non-refundable and non-returnable.

4. The “Oops” Replacement Program

We know that wrapping complex bike fairings for the first time can be intimidating. If you make a critical error on a specific section (e.g., you drop the tank panel on a dusty floor), we will not make you buy a whole new kit.

• Single-Panel Re-orders: Contact our team with a photo of your mistake, and we will cut and ship that single replacement panel to you at a heavily discounted cost price, plus local economy courier fees.

5. Approved Returns Process (Unopened Kits)

In the rare event that a standard, non-custom accessory (such as an upgraded professional squeegee or premium solution spray bottle bundle) qualifies for a return:

• The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and returned within 7 days of delivery.
• The customer is entirely responsible for arranging and paying the return courier fees to our Gqeberha warehouse.
• Approved refunds will be processed via EFT into your South African bank account within 7 to 10 working days of us receiving and inspecting the returned parcel.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using gravelguardppf.com (the “Site”) or purchasing precut Paint Protection Film (PPF) kits and accessories from Gravel Guard (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or purchase our products.

2. Product Use & DIY Installation Disclaimer

• Self-Installation: Our precut PPF kits are sold as Do-It-Yourself (DIY) products. Proper installation requires careful preparation, slip solution, squeegee techniques, and heat application.
• Installer Risk: Gravel Guard is not responsible for installation errors, including but not limited to: air bubbles, finger lifts, dust contamination, improper stretching, misalignment, or tearing of the film during application.
• Paint & Surface Condition: PPF is designed for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) factory paint in good condition. We are not liable for paint peeling, clear coat damage, or surface imperfections occurring during film installation or removal on repainted, custom-painted, damaged, or aged surfaces.

3. Orders, Fitment, & Accuracy

• Customer Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring that the Year, Make, Model, and Submodel selected match your motorcycle exactly prior to placing an order.
• Modifications: Our precut templates are designed around stock, factory-original fairings and bodywork. We cannot guarantee fitment if your motorcycle features aftermarket fairings, body kits, crash bars, or modified components.

4. Returns, Exchanges, & Refunds

In the rare event that a standard, non-custom accessory (such as an upgraded professional squeegee or premium solution spray bottle bundle) qualifies for a return:

• Installed or Peeled Film: Once the backing paper has been peeled from the film or slip solution has been applied to the kit, the item is non-refundable and non-returnable.
• Defective Items: If you receive a kit with a manufacturing defect or an improper kiss cut, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the uninstalled kit before attempting application.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gravel Guard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages—including vehicle damage, loss of use, or labor costs—arising out of the purchase, use, or inability to use our products. Our total liability shall not exceed the total purchase price paid by you for the specific product.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site—including logos, product graphics, template designs, text, and media—is the exclusive property of Gravel Guard and protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized reproduction or resale of our digital cut patterns or physical kits is strictly prohibited.
